Me and Caleb Comments Blog
Now that the "Me and Caleb" books are back in print, please add your thoughts and comments about the books.
Entry for March 18, 2008

I re-found an ancient copy of Me & Caleb that I kept in a
plastic baggie to preserve. I'd read it many years ago to my fifth
graders, and when I read it 30 plus years later, (last week) to my third
graders they had the same reaction- literally rolling on the floor with
laughter. The books are timeless. So I immediately started looking for Me
& Caleb Again as I didn't have my own copy and no library had had it
for years. Thank you for getting back in print. I'm making my kids wait
until after spring break to start the second one. They try to bribe me
everyday to begin now. What are the chances that the boys could get
into mischief one more time? At a time when children's books are SO
politically correct that they are no fun Mr. Meyer writes what grabs kid's
imagination and makes the thought of sitting on their bottoms and
watching video games totally boring. They want the adventure of Me & Caleb.
More please, more!
